What’s the Difference Between Baking and Roasting?
Roasting uses the same type of all-over, dry heat as baking, but at higher temperatures between 400 and 450° F. Roasting veggies brings out their natural sweetness and creates a light crisp on the outside, and nice and tender on the inside.

Roasted Asparagus
servings 2-3
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus, Rinse and trip asparagus to remove the woody ends.
- olive oil
- black pepper
- kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Adjust rack to upper middle level.
- Place asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, season generously with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
- Roast asparagus for 13-15 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy
