What You’ll Need to make Orange Soy Chicken
This recipe is pretty simple, perfect for a easy dinner. We use chicken breast, cut them into bite size pieces and sear them in a orange & soy based sauce. Here’s the ingredients you’ll need:
- Chicken Breast
- Cornstarch
- Cooking oil
- garlic cloves
- low-sodium soy sauce
- water
- Orange
- Honey
- Black pepper and salt

This recipe takes less than 15 minutes to make and is perfect to keep on the weekly rotation. The homemade sauce is so good and the chicken tender. Pairs perfectly with a bowl of rice and roasted vegetables!

Orange Soy Chicken
Serving: 2 (Easily can be doubled)
Ingredients
- 6 oz chicken breast, Cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/8 cup cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/8 cup water
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients according the ingredient list above.
- In a small bowl add the soy sauce, garlic, honey, orange juice, black pepper and water; mix completely.
- Season the chicken with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the cornstarch and the chicken pieces to a medium bowl, mix thoroughly until evenly coated.
- Add the oil to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, shake off any extra cornstarch and add the chicken pieces in the heated pan. (do not overcrowd the pan, do in batches if needed.)
- Cook the chicken for 8 minutes, flipping the pieces halfway.
- To the same skillet; pour in the soy sauce, garlic, honey, orange juice, black pepper and water; mix completely.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3 more minutes. Stir occasionally until the sauce has thickened and the chicken pieces are coated.
- Serve the chicken with the remaining sauce with rice and your preferred side. Enjoy!
