My homemade focaccia is like a lightly crunchy cloud lightly coated in a garlicky and Italian seasoned oil. If you are a beginner or need a small batch of focaccia, this is recipe is for you.

Easy Small Batch Focaccia Bread

  • In a small bowl, add the water, sugar, and yeast, mix and then cover for ten minutes the mixture formed a froth.
  • In a different bowl, add the flour and the salt. Mixthroughly, the. Add the flour bowl to the yeast mixture.
  • Knead for 5 minutes, when the dough is smooth and not sticky(add flour 1 tsp at a time if still sticky after 5 minutes), add the olive oil and knead for three more minutes. Cover the dough and let it rise in warm place for 90 minutes or until it is double in size.
  • Punch the dough and knead for 1 minute.
  • Pat or roll the dough into a round shape and place it on a lightly greased cast iron. Using hands, pat out the dough till it’s about ½ an inch high and about 6-7 inch across.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375F, adjust rack to middle top.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning and season with salt.
  • Brush the dough with the garlic/Italian infused olive oil.
  • Using your fingers make dimples on the surface of the dough trying to press the pan
  • Bake the focaccia bread for 13 to 15 minutes, until it is golden in color and has reached your desired crispness. Enjoy!
