Ground Turkey Chili (One Pot Recipe)
For dinner tonight try, this one pot ground turkey chili with black and pinto beans. This 20 minute recipe is so comforting, especially paired with a slice of cornbread and cheddar cheese on top!

My Ground Turkey Chili is very easy to make and made in less than 20 minutes with minimal prep. We use ground turkey in our household for most dinners . “Turkey is generally lower in saturated fat than beef making it a better choice for heart health.” –Healthline.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- cooking oil
- ground Turkey
- cloves garlic
- Tomato paste
- cumin
- chili powder
- oregano
- cayenne pepper
- Masa Harina
- kidney beans
- Black beans
- diced tomatoes
- Salt and Pepper
- Optional: Serve with cornbread, cheese, green onions and more


Corn bread and ground turkey chili will always have a special place in my heart. My mom would make homemade chili and then pair it with Jiffy boxed corn bread. Before baking the cornbread, she tops it with brown sugar crumbled up with cold butter, it is so good!

Ground Turkey Chili (One Pot Recipe)

Ingredients
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- 8 oz ground Turkey
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 2 Tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/8 cup Masa Harina
- 1 cup kidney beans(drained and rinsed)
- 1 cup Black beans (drained and rinsed
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (With the juice)
- Salt and Pepper
- Optional: Serve with cornbread, cheese, or your favorite chili toppings!
Instructions
- Heat the cooking oil on a large skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, add the ground turkey breaking up the meat. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned. Stir in the garlic and tomato paste until combined, cooking for 1 minute. Season with a nice pinch of salt and pepper
- In a bowl, mix together 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. Add the seasonings to the ground turkey and mix.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes to the pot and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Turn the heat to low and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl add the Masa Harina and 1/4 cup water. Mix thoroughly. Stir the mixture into the chili. Add the drained/rinsed black and pinto beans. Cook for 5 minutes on medium low heat stirring occasionally.
- Enjoy with cornbread and cheese sprinkled on top!
