What is Fried Rice?
Fried rice uses leftover cooked rice that is fried in a wok or large frying pan, normally mixed with eggs, vegetables and meat. To give the dish that restaurant quality taste, we add oyster sauce, sesame oil and low sodium soy sauce.
This recipe is very versatile too. Use any stir fry vegetables you have in the fridge like peas, mushrooms, broccoli. Or you can substitute ground turkey with ground beef, pork, chicken or shrimp instead if preferred!
Fried Rice Ingredients
- low-sodium soy sauce
- oyster sauce
- toasted sesame oil
- cooking oil
- eggs
- ground turkey
- carrots
- mushrooms
- spinach
- shallot
- garlic cloves
- salt and pepper
- cooked white rice
- chopped green onions
I like to enjoy this ground turkey fried rice dish as a complete meal. But you can serve this as a side dish just like you would with normal white rice. Making fried rice is a great way to use up any leftover white rice you have in the fridge. Serve this fried rice with these soy glazed pork bites for a tasty “treat your self” dinner.
