Instructions

  1. Prep ingredients according to the list above. Remove 10-12 oz worth of crabmeat from shells, add the crabmeat to a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, add the sour cream, 1 tsp sriracha(more or less depending on spice tolerance), 1 tsp minced garlic, juice from 1 lime, 2 Tbsp water and season with a pinch salt and pepper. Mix together, taste and adjust the sriracha, salt and pepper if needed, set aside in the fridge.( The crema texture should be able to drizzle on top of tacos)
  3. Add the chopped cilantro, shallots and juice from 1/2 a lime in a bowl(save the other half of the lime for serving). Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Taste, set aside in the fridge until taco assembly time.
  4. In a large skillet over medium high, melt 2 Tbsp butter. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add stock or broth, a pinch of salt, a pinch of red pepper flakes and plenty of black pepper and bring to a simmer. Let the broth reduce for about 2 minutes.
  5. Carefully stir in the crab meat pieces; cook and stir until heated through and coated with the garlic butter sauce. Remove from heat. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed!
  6. Warm up the tortillas on a plate covered with a damp paper towel. Microwave for about 30 seconds increments until the tortillas are warm and pliable.
  7. Assemble your tacos starting with the Corn tortillas, shallot cilantro slaw, and garlicky crab meat. Drizzle each taco with the sriracha crema. Enjoy with the remaining lime wedges!
