Cranberry Orange Sauce (Easy Recipe)
Homemade cranberry orange sauce adds a tasty sweetness to Holiday dishes, sandwiches, cheese boards and so much more. Plus, you only need 4 ingredients!

This cranberry orange sauce is a staple Christmas & Thanksgiving side dish. My favorite way to use this sauce is in Cranberry Brie bites using crescent dough, brie cheese & cranberry sauce. I like to add Pancetta to the top. It is my favorite holiday appetizer, Recipe HERE
Ingredients for Cranberry Orange Sauce:
- fresh cranberries
- white granulated sugar
- medium orange
- fresh orange juice

Tools You’ll Need:

Cranberry Orange Sauce
Yield about 2 cups
Ingredients
- 12 oz cleaned, fresh cranberries
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- Zest 1 medium orange
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (I leave in the pulp)
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients according to the list above.
- Put a medium size cooking pan over medium high heat. Add all the ingredients. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and bring to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the cranberries become soft.
- Optional: use a potato masher to mash up the cranberries make the consistency more smooth
- Turn off the heat and add the sauce to a bowl. Allow the sauce to cool completely, it will thicken as it cools.
