Hoisin sauce tastes salty, sweet and tangy. It has a similar flavor profile to barbecue sauce. Hoisin sauce works wonderfully with all kinds of recipes including stir-fries, marinades, dipping sauces, soups and so much more. Hoisin is a great substitute for soy sauce, or just like this recipe, to use it alongside soy sauce.
